Perspective Drawing

For my traditional perspective drawing I decided to draw Christ Church, Spitalfields. I thought it’d be interesting due to the clean arcitecture.

As I didn’t own a ruler most of the perspective got lost, though I attempted to salvage it as I could.

I know if I were to try this again I’d make sure to have the proper traditional equipment or draw it digitally.

Somewhere halfway down the building begain to go quite wonky, I followed some guidelines but without a ruler for measurement it all went quite wrong.

I’m not proud of this.

I then attempted a top down perspective, instead of a ruler I tried using the edge of a card.

This one was simpler and went much better, I created a maze from my own mind and I added a terrace in the middle because it looked plain.

In order to share something for perspective that I am actually proud of I’d like to share a piece of digital perspective art. For this one I drew a room interior of a house belonging to a witch for October.

I started out with just the perspective grid then I slowly added furniture and colour to the scene. This was created in Photoshop. After the colour was added I attempted shading and lighting.

This is one I’m proud of and would like to attempt again someday. Though there’s a lot to be improved I think it showcases use of perspective in a scene much better.
