Leadership and Teamwork

I was the Team Leader in my group, I made out plans that me and Sol could follow hoping that the schedule was right for everyone, though I could not be sure.

We made sure to stay in contact over Discord to talk about our plans and how we were progressing with our individual tasks. Though we are both very independent workers we talked each week about how things were going and where we wanted to take things from there.

As Sol was on Digital Design and I was on Game Design we decided to pick something that combined our skills and interests and that is how we came up with the idea of a Game Store. They could make Graphic Design elements for it such as the logo and posters, and I could design controllers for it.

The controllers were actually a late decision, as our store did not have a Unique Selling Point for a while, it was just a retro game store. But after considering how to incorporate something more artistic into the project for me to do we decided that custom controllers would fix both of these issues, becoming an artistic project for me as we could sell them as custom painted, connecting games to the store, and giving the store a Unique Selling Point that other retro game stores would not do.

As we both finished our work we showed it to each other for criticism and advice, to make sure that our work was up to the standard of each other and for each of us to improve individually. This really seemed to help get work finished and boost confidence.
