Description of Accessories and Poses

Falki’s main accessories are a staff, a small pouch for collecting rocks and other trinkets, and his home on his back.

His staff is old and light in colour, made from driftwood. It doesn’t serve any magical purpose, he just needs it to help walk, as he was attacked by a polar bear when he was young.

The rocks and stones he adorns himself with are trinkets found in the snow. Mostly green items, moss covered pebbles, sometimes bottle tops from humans, or even teeth.

The home he carries on his back is a shell shape and is the size of his body. It is made from furs and walrus bones. In the bottom half of the internal shell there is a large pouch that holds everything he needs to take with him while travelling, food, blankets, torches.

I imagined the houses like the ones in Borean Tundra in World of Warcraft, but really smell and more shell shaped. Something that can carry things around. Made of bone. (Blizzard Entertainment 2008)

He has been known to carry around injured puffins or rock ptarmigans until they recover, he has a soft spot for them.

For poses he will lean wearily on his staff when taking a break from travelling, sometimes to stare at the celestial veil and think about the people he has both lost and found in his life before carrying on.

This is exactly how I imagined him using his staff. (The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring 2001)
